Dill album cover

Pavel Doronin returns with Dill, a new EP that turns scent, domestic detail and half-remembered feeling into slow, tactile ambient music. Vintage 80s synthesisers blur into close-mic’d fragments of everyday life — cutlery, safety matches, keys — as if memory is replaying itself in scraps and flashes, then stretching out into something slow, immersive and strangely restorative.

“One day, I was chopping dill and the smell just pulled me straight back to my mother’s cooking. It was like being dropped into childhood again. I wanted the EP to hold that feeling: a small reset, a return to curiosity, something I can step into when I need to.”

— Pavel Doronin

Following last year’s debut single “Seagull” (a collaboration with pianist Aliya Lark), Dill pushes further into Doronin’s more experimental territory — intimate electronics with an almost physical sense of space, where the smallest sound can carry the heaviest weight.
